Very Exciting Biomedical Project
I was comissioned to develop a presentation for Diatrons three main instruments in their core markets hematology, clinical chemistry and immunoassays.

The CAD data received from the client could easily be imported into Cinema 4D where I developed the shaders according to the material specifications. Redshift was the render engine of choice.
As we needed to animate some parts of the instruments I needed to rig the doors and the screens, because they had kind of hydraulic supporters and had to be moved properly. So it was like rigging basic robot movements.
Moving Elements

We brought movement to the rather static instruments through animating the trays and tubes pretending the process of analyzing.
Rigging robots

Processing all the CAD data from the client worked very well. But then we only had these static mashines. We wanted to make them somehow more interesting. After receiving informations from Diatron's engineers about how the instruments move in the real life, we then rigged and animated the doors, trays, screen arms and a few elements more. That way the instruments became actors in our clean minimalistic environments.
